Virginia native Pusha T has just released this week  his mix tape ” Wrath Of Caine”. During his promo campaign Pusha had a chance to sit down with MTV .com & Sway in the Morning on Shade 45. During these interviews, Pusha was asked about his choice of the title of his mix tape. For most hip hop heads, the title “Wrath of Caine ” reminds you of the classic hip hop single “Wrath of Kane” recorded by Big Daddy Kane in the 80’s.  When asked about the close similarities in title, Pusha stated that aside from his play on the word Caine, the title was indeed intended to pay homage to one of the greats Big Daddy Kane who he said is behind the inspiration for his mix tape. Pusha explains that after a recent experience of listening to some Kane & Rakim songs back to back, he came to the conclusion that Kane’ flow was better than the God MC Rakim. Pusha explained that that was of course his opinion, but challenged anyone who opposed his opinion to go listen for themselves. So of course I pulled out the discographies of both artists. The 2 MC’s have always had their own fight for the top spot going on, but that was of course back when rappers would be going at each other on record and the fans didn’t even know… unless you listen to lyrics. So here we are 20 years later and the question still remains, who was the better MC? What do you think? Stay tuned I have a few more records to listen to…

When asked about if there had been an MC battle between himself & Rakim this is what Kane had to say….
